I didn’t know what to expect when I first signed on with Jason. I wanted to lose weight and get in better shape, and decided to try personal training as a “last effort”. I had never even participated in group classes, so working one-on-one with a trainer was really a big step for me. As we got started, I found the workouts were a real challenge. I was using muscles that I didn’t know I had, was very sore after workouts, but I loved it. I felt better, had more energy, and really looked forward to going to the gym (well….MOST days…) The workouts inspired me to watch what I ate, since I didn’t want to be packing back on calories that I had just burned off! Workouts changed often, so there was never boredom. The personal training workouts also provided a method of accountability for me. Jason was great at checking on my nutrition, cardio workouts, etc. and that accountability made a huge difference for me. I not only enjoyed the personal training, but started enjoying going to the gym and getting in cardio workouts 3 or 4 times a week. I made myself accountable to Jason and began to see progress really quickly. Over time I could begin to do things I never thought possible, lifting more weights, actually getting my feet off the ground when I jumped (24 INCHES!!!), and I began to have much better balance (thanks to many “one-legged workouts” with Jason).I felt much better, had more energy, moved more easily, was more flexible, and over time lost 20 pounds. I even realized I was staying healthier as I worked out more and more….rarely a cold, etc. Jason was always professional, put much thought and preparation into the workouts, and was always ready to give support in any way he could. He does much more than personal training, but takes a personal interest in real life changes for his those people he works with.
