There’s Something About Mondays

No matter what goes on in your life, there’s just something special about Monday’s.  A chance to restart, refresh, and begin again.

It seems like the weekend is always a tough time for people.  The weekends are when we socialize and get out of our normal routine.  The week, while it may be redundant, has structure and order to it.  But the weekends are the time you catch up on the things that need to be done at home, shop, visit people, socialize, and basically take a break from your normal routine.  Often times, our weekends seem to break us from the good habits we developed.  The weekends tend to throw us off, and on Monday we have to reboot again.  So where do you begin?

The best place to begin is to set up a plan for the week.

1. Set up new goals and decide what you want to accomplish this week.  Set reasonable goals.
2. Take it one day at a time.  Don’t try to make up for the weekend.  Just move forward from today and don’t let the weekend make you feel guilty.
3. Stinkin’ Thinkin’.  Many of you have preconceived ideas that you are going to fail.  If this is you, you have no choice but to change your way of thinking if you want to be successful.  I heard someone say this weekend that our mind thinks as many as 1,200 words per minute and 1,100 are negative.  What do you believe about yourself and who you are?

What are your goals this week?  Put them in the comment section below.
