The Seasons of Fruits and Vegetables

You may or may not realize this, but the fruits and vegetables you see in the grocery stores have seasons they grow in and seasons they don’t.  I know we can buy different things all year round, but they aren’t grown locally.  I did some reasearch and create a list of locally grown fruits and vegetables for you.  Let me know what you think.

If you’ve ever wondered why you can purchase certain fruits and vegetables all year round, but you can’t grow them yourself, it has to do with our climate.  You can grow a lot of things in Texas, but you can’t grow everything all year round.  I did a little research and ran across a website that list things for every area of the country.  I wasn’t too concerned with the rest of the nation so I found the things that were for the Texas area only.  So if you want to only buy things that you grows locally, here is a list to make it easier for you.
