Medical Exercise is beneficial for Clients with and Anterior Cruciate Ligament repair (ACL)
Here at Medical Fitness Pros, we do specialize in working with clients that have had ACL reconstruction. Now, a lot of times people that had ACL injuries are more likely to injure their other ACL interior, unfortunately. It’s just something we found through research is that a lot of things that caused the initial ACL damage, especially on impact, also says it’s the first step to damage due to the biomechanics and the way the body is made, the way the body moves. If you have dealt with an ACL, especially if you’ve torn one or if you’ve torn both and you’re worried about your body mechanics, we specialize in helping you get into a program that corrects a lot of the issues.
Tearing the other ACL after recovery
Now, you can never a hundred percent prevent an ACL tear, there’s always impact injuries and there’s a lot of other components that come into play. But there’s things you can do to lessen the chance of tearing your ACL, and so not only will we work with you on getting your full recovery back from ACL injury or ACL repair, we’ll also work with you on trying to make sure the other knee is a stronger so you don’t have injury again. This is the last thing you want to do, is go through another ACL surgery, it’s not fun.
We work with your medical provider to ensure a safe recovery
You know, we work with your doctor and physical therapist to ensure you get a program that’s going to be safe. We use protocols so that the things we’re doing are going to be progressive, helping you progress and move towards a status of healing, and also make sure that you’re doing everything you can to return to the sport that you enjoyed so that you don’t damage the other ACL along the way or get into a situation where you tilt the other one.
So, I really appreciate you watching and we’d love to help you out if you had torn an ACL. Please let us know, ask questions if you have it. I’m Jason Hodge at Medical Fitness Pros, and we’d love to help you out. Thank you so much.
