Medical Fitness – Serious Conditions
Simply put, regular gyms are not adequately prepared to handle clients with serious medical conditions. If you suffer from a serious condition, it’s imperative that your exercise regimen be tailored carefully and specifically to ensure that you improve at a safe pace and in the right manner.
All of our medical exercise staff have highly specialized trainings and accreditations, enabling them to create individualized protocols that work to reduce both the symptoms of your illness, as well as the illness itself in some cases. You won’t find a regular gym that can do what we can!
Cardiovascular & Cardiopulmonary Conditions
High Blood Pressure & Hypertension
If you have high blood pressure it’s important to monitor your blood pressure levels before and after each exercise session to ensure you stay within healthy levels throughout your exercise regimen. For this reason, we provide our clients with hypertension blood pressure cuffs that they wear while working out, and we keep in contact with your doctor(s) to let them know when we see lasting improvements. After working with us – and on the proviso they continue to stay serious about their exercise and fitness regimen – many of our clients’ physicians recommend that they reduce or even stop taking their blood pressure medication.
Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes
For those with diabetes, it’s important to be aware of your blood sugar levels and how they are affected before, during, and after exercising. 100% of our clients who have diabetes or pre-diabetes have seen sustained decreases in their blood sugar levels, their A1c, and have been able to reduce and get off many of their medications. One physician in Katy has even used “ex-diabetic” to describe some of our clients!
Working with clients with cancer comes in various forms. We have clients that come in who are undergoing radiation and chemotherapy and others who are on the path to recovery and are looking to gain back their strength.
