Arthritis often manifests as stiffness and painful inflammation in the joints. It can affect one or multiple joints of someone who is impacted by this condition. While there are over one hundred different types of arthritis, we find most clients either have osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.
When working with those with osteoarthritis, we have a very different approach than other Katy Personal Trainers. We focus on how osteoarthritis impacts your mobility, strength, endurance, and flexibility, and work with you to improve it. We know exercise is beneficial for all types of arthritis, but when we work with osteoarthritis, we have specific protocols that we follow to ensure you do not have an increase in pain or inflammation.
When exercising with Rheumatoid Arthritis, we focus on designing a safe and effective exercise program for your condition. We stay within your pain free range of motion in order to avoid irritating your joints. High impact activities can increase your joint pain, so we are careful to select exercises that do not damage your joints more. Your program will also include exercises that strengthen supporting muscular structures surrounding your joints.
When working with arthritis it’s important to exercise specifically for your condition. Your program should include activities that do not stress and irritate your joints more. Our programs are designed to help you manage your arthritis and learn how to continue to take care of it on your own.
