Medical Fitness Pros and Compusolutionx sponsored this year’s Katy Slimdown Challenge. We were extremely happy to see Darrin and Lorie Yu win the Slimdown Challenge by losing a combined 67 pounds! See the before and after photos and hear them explain how they lost the weight.
This years Katy Slimdown Challenge was a huge success. We had 125 people enter the free competition and saw some amazing transformations. The most amazing transformations came from Darrin and Lorie Yu, the winners of this year’s Katy Slimdown Challenge.
In order to make this event possible, CompuSolutionX and Medical FItness Pros donated a $500 shopping spree to the top male and female who had the best physical transformation. Medical Fitness Pros also donated 4, “One Month of Personal Training” prizes throughout the contest.
While most of the participants were individuals, a few couples also entered the event. As it turned out, the couples did better on average than those who entered the competition on their own. I’ll share my insight in a another post in the near future about the trends I saw in those who did well or did not do well. For now though, let me focus on Darrin and Lorie Yu.
In the competition, we took a look at several factors to determine the winner. We evaluated weight, inches, body fat percent change and total amount of body fat. After evaluating, if we still couldn’t determine a winner we evaluated percentage of all of these numbers in coorelation with the percentage of weight of the individual. Here are some of the numbers for Darrin and Lorie after 15 weeks and before and after pictures.

The Before and After photos are rather remarkable, aren’t they? For the last month of the contest, they won one month of personal training from Medical Fitness Pros’ personal trainer, Jason Harley. Here is what they had to say about that experience.
