Is Exercise Enough?

Research has recently been done to determine how much of an effect sitting (desk, tv, car) has on heart problems. Men who sat for 23 hours or more per week had a 64% increase in dying from heart disease than those who sat for 11 hours a week or less. But what about those who exercised? The answer might surprise you...

All Calories are NOT Created Equal

You have probably heard the saying, Calories In, Calories Out. But unfortunately, calories are not all the same. I had an interesting situation this weekend, that sparked some research. I think understanding something called the Satiety Index, will help you eat healthier.

All of Nothing

Recently I started up an experimental program that is designed to guide people through their goals One Step at a Time. I found a common thread among most of the participants. Everyone seemed to be All or Nothing. I'm not sure if you have been through this yourself, but I want to talk about it and help you understand a few things.

Why Walking Isn't Enough

It’s important that we move more and eat healthier…we all know that. Nutrition will help us tone up and lose the gut, but exercise is extremely important too. We often don’t realize that the type of exercise we choose will have a direct affect on the benefits we achieve. And if you really want to achieve a tone, healthy body, walking isn’t enough.
