Summer has officially arrived! If you are disappointed at the way you look this summer, and you feel that your swimsuit doesn't fit they way it should, I'm going to give you a second chance at summer!
The Katy Summer Slimdown Challenge is my way of encouraging Katy residents to get in shape. I know how challenging the summer can be.
- It's hot outside.
- The kids are out of school.
- We have a vacation planned.
- It's really hot outside!
I have been thinking a lot about how to reach out to you, to encourage you, to motivate you, and to help you change. I know that contests really encourage people to get motivated, and that's why I am doing this. People like to win, right? All contests need a prize though. That is really where I started getting a little concerned. I'm not a large corporation like EAS or those other places that have huge budgets to do things like this. So I was talking to Kenneth Akiri, a friend of mine, the other day. He liked the idea of the contest and it was his actions that made this possible. Kenneth owns CompuSolutionX and has helped me tremendously over the years. Let's face it, when your computer is down, it seems like the world stops. He's always been there for me, and this was another time that he stepped up to help me just in time. He has agreed to co-sponsor this contest and make all of this possible. So with all of that said, here are the details: - The contest officially begins on Monday, June 15th and will end on Monday, August 24th. It runs for 10 weeks, at which time the winner will be announced.
- The contest is open to clients and non-clients. There are no restrictions and there will be no favortism.
- Fitness professionals will be chosen to make the selection of who the winner is. I will not be the one judging this contest in order to keep it non-biased.
- In order to enter the contest, you must come see me on Monday June 15th to get your picture, weight, and measurements taken. The same thing applies for Monday, August 24th. This will keep any of you from losing due to a doctored or outdated photo. If you will have a hard time visiting me on those particular dates, let me know as soon as possible.
- The winner will be chosen by fitness professionals who will see the before and after photos, before and after measurements and the weight change. Because there are so many different ways to judge a contest, the winner will be chosen based on the judgements of more than one fitness professional.
- And the best part is....the prize. For the person who wins the 10 week contest, you will win a vacation for 2 aboard Carnival Cruise Lines so you can have a second chance to look great in your swimsuit. You will leave out of Galveston Bay and enjoy a 4 or 5 day cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Lines*.
